First 2013 Project

We start this season with a real cool project – restoring a deck after 5 years. It was a real pleasure to see how our sealer performs.
We restored this deck in 2008, it looked like this in 2013:

The sealer we’re using is pigmented oil. Similar sealer from other manufacturers will last 12-18 months, our sealer doesn’t look like new after 5 years being out on North-West, but still protects the wood! We’re talking a lot of moister, two large dogs, big trees around… I believe we use the best product available on USA market. For more info visit out other site

After two days of hard work the deck is clean and beautiful again:

We stopped using Cabot’s products

Summer of 2012 was the last year we used Cabot products on our decks. Cabot known as a great stain manufacturer for a long period of time. We used to use Cabot’s Australian Timber Oil on our ipe deck projects, because this sealer last longer on exotic hardwood, then other sealers.

Cabot changed their formula again (they did it at least 3 times in last 7 years, probably to be VOC compliant), and Cabot’s ATO became a very difficult product to work with. Cabot’s ATO still shows best performance in our test lab, but after understanding that the application cant be done with best quality, we decided to switch to another product. To find out which sealers we use visit our Secrets page.

We’re closed till April 2013

We’re done with the 2012 deck restoration season.

It’s been a tough season, we lost all June due to the rain (Go Seattle’s weather!), but compensate it a little with late work in the fall. Hope, the weather will be less stressful in the next year.

We will be ready for estimates by phone, and on-site appointments in the beginning of April 2012. As always, you can get a Web estimate by submitting information about your project using the form.

Many thanks to all our great customers!

Booking September 2012 – Last Chance

Realistically speaking, we almost done for this season. Booking September. We only have time for 10-15 projects, due to the weather in the fall. If you didn’t get to the list, contact us in April 2013.

Booking Last Week of August

Man, summer is short on the North West, and we, as always, overloaded with a lot of great projects. At this point it is a real difficult to get on-site estimate soon enough. Help us, and help yourself: just fill up a simple contact form and get an answer about approximate cost of your project at the same day over email.

Good luck!
